Dropped Classes

I have 3 dropped classes and 35units/60 units completed by the time I submit my transfer application. I was wondering how this would impact me. I'm a philosophy major applying to UCLA/Berkeley/UCSD/Irvine and I was wondering how this would impact me. AVG GPA: 3.6 btw.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean you have 3 W’s? Or that you are now only take 1-2 classes after registering for 4-5?

I meant I have 3 W’s cumulative. Sorry for the mixup

I think it will affect the outcome of your admissions negatively, but not significantly. If possible, you might want to explain on your application as to why you have 3 W’s in a single semester.

Why did you happen to drop that many classes around application time, if you don’t mind me asking.

Oh I didn’t have 3 W’s in a single semester. I had one in spring/summer/fall separately. The classes were significantly harder than I expected and both were lab sciences which I thought I could ace. Did not have the proper foundation to do so though, so I decided to drop it and take lower division classes and try again.

Does no one read the transfer FAQ before posting? A lot of these threads lately.

Oh you’re going to get rejected with 3 W’s.

Thanks! Just checked the faq.

=D Good. FYI I was lying, having 100 W’s won’t matter until applications to grad school.

I wonder what the record for Ws is. Hehe.
