Hi, I was dropped from Electrical Engineering last year from UIUC for having 1.81 then 1.91 GPA's. The dean of the engineering college told me to attend College of Dupage for 1 year and improve my grades. He said, vebatim, "get all A's, maybe a few B's, but no C's, and you're hands down guaranteed back in".

I've been performing extremely well this year, corresponding back and forth with the ECE advisors, yet I still have that paranoia in the back of my head. What if he was just saying that? What if they don't take me back in? Here are the biggest things I've been doing this year

Getting straight A's at COD (retook all classes I got below a C in at UIUC, and taking the next sequence courses that transfer back to UIUC).

Working as an office intern at a general contracor in the construction industry (earned my LEED GA credential and OSHA-30 construction license).

Building my finantial credit, i.e. got a credit card and been paying my bills and have earned myself a pretty good credit score.

Paying for all school and transportation on my own as means to understand more fully what it's like to be an adult.

In my petition to re-enter form, I'm not just saying "I got good grades now". I'm writing it more to convey the idea that this whole year was about beginning the transformation into a full-on adult, from which self-discipline and academic efficiency have came.

my petition to re-enter form is due may 31 and my second semester grades (expecting straight A's again) come in may 16. I'm also including 2 rec letters from teachers and a letter from my boss.

ANY ADVICE ON ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD DO? ANYTHING YOU THINK THEY COULD DOCK ME FOR OR ANYTHING I OVER/UNDERLOOKED?

THANKS
