Hi everyone, I’m kind of in a confusing situation and would like to know if anyone got any pointers for me.
I withdrew from UCI after 2 years as a bio major. I went in with a lot of pressure to be going to med school, but it was making me miserable. I hated what I was studying and couldn’t do it anymore so I dropped out.
I know it’s not possible to start anywhere as a blank slate, but that would be ideal and here’s why: I have a terrible GPA (2.35) from UCI, but i did relatively well in my GE courses. It was the major courses that dragged my grade down.
I want to start again as a business admin major at possibly a csu, lb or fullerton, but i don’t know how it could work. I don’t have any classes in the major, and i don’t know how they combine course works i had from uci as well as if i am going to a CC to fulfill the trasnfer requirement.
Thats my dillemma rn, if anyone could give me advice would be much apprec

Have you spoken to an transfer advisor at your CC to determine which classes from UCI will be transferable?
-
CSU’s will accept a maximum of 70 semester or 105 quarter units of lower division courses towards your degree. Any units above that limit will be given subject credit.

Use assist.org to determine which courses at your CC you need to take to fulfill the Business Admin requirements for each CSU campus. Most likely you have completed all or most of your GE’s at UCI and most should be transferable.

it isn’t clear from your post if you are going to a CC now or just thinking about it. If you are attending a CC then the xfer center should be well versed in how CSU transfers work. Given your gpa it is worth getting the boost in admissions from being in the local service area for the CSU campus of your choice (see for example http://admissions.fullerton.edu/prospectivestudent/transferlocaladmissionarea.php)
