I've been in orchestra since the fifth grade and I'm now entering my senior year of high school. I absolutely love to play the violin, but I've had an extremely bad experience with orchestra for the past two years-- to the point where I want to quit next year. I would definitely continue studying privately. Would it reflect badly on me for quitting like this? I have already left the choir program at my school for the same reasons, although I love singing even more than violin. I continue to practice regularly on my own, and if I quit I would fill the time with a class at the community college or something similar.

Thank you!
