My situation is actually more complicated than the title sounds. So when I applied, I reported Spanish12 because I was taking it at the time but right after I submitted my application, I had a conflict with the teacher and thought the class is not necessary at all so I dropped it. However I did not report it. Until recently I got my acceptance letter and on the contract it says you have to report dropped class immediately. So I am kind of freaking out.
The other thing is that, when my counsellor submitted my unofficial transcript, my Spanish class is already a W on it, so does UCLA know that I dropped it even though I did not report it myself??
thanks!
FYI, I am studying biology and I already have a second language credit, is this very serious/will it effect my decision?
The people that know work in UCLA admissions, not posting replies to this forum.
You ought to know that if you attend UCLA, or any other large public, you are responsible for knowing the rules. The 1st bullet item on the UCLA webpage for Current Applicants says “It’s critical that you let us know if the information you gave us on your application changes.” They probably also told you to report changes in the links in the confirmation pages & emails you got after you applied.
I hope this works out for you, but nobody out here is familiar with all the details of your specific application so all anyone can offer is a guess.
Contact UCLA, or go see your GC and ask them to inquire for you.
