This may be a bit over thought by me and what-not, but I'm the type of person who freaks outtt. I'm in my first semester of college, and I am undecided as far as my major goes. I plan on doing the pre-req's for med school and maybe majoring in something outside of science. Now, right now I am taking Gen Chem, Pre-Calc, ENC 1101, and a seminar class for the Honors College, as well as SLS. Due to some mishaps, I'm considering dropping my SLS (with a DR grade) course and taking it next semester. It doesn't fit into my schedule well, and I've already failed a test and a quiz, because I didn't have the money for my books, etc. Anyways, my question is: Would dropping a 1 credit-hour course like SLS in my first semester of college really effect my chances at med school? (Taking into consideration that I'm more than likely not going to be majoring in a science related field).

No, it wouldn’t make a diff.

Nope won’t have any effect whatsoever. Now if you make a habit out of dropping classes (with W’s on your transcript), you might have some explaining to do in interviews. But one or two (or three or four…) dropped classes isn’t going to matter.

But what if dropping makes you go below full courseload? Should you still drop it?

AGH, todpose: im facing lsame dilemma! Because I reallly want braces, but my insurance company will not cover any of the expenses if I drop this class it is a 6.0 class of the 16 ive taken :((( (itll drop me to a part-time student)****aduckkk
