Thinking of Dropping a class now though the deadline has passed (without Dean's exception). Is getting Dean's exception a real difficult feat?

You know, I always thought it would be difficult, but my friend was in a situation where she wanted to change a course from grade to p/np in the 11th week, and she got managed to do it (and it wasn't due to health/medical reasons/extrenuating circumstances)!

Go speak with your advisor, he/she will be able to give some pointers.

You can change to P/NP up to the 10th week, so if your friend managed to extend the deadline by a few days, I wouldn't find it hard to believe.

Based on what I've seen, the CoE is very strict about drop deadlines. Other colleges may differ, though.

Oh really? I cant change the course to P/NP unfortunately.

Also any details on HOW to get this dean's exception?

Meet with your advisor first!

You need a financial or medical reason normally. I think L&S is pretty strict about it.

Maybe get a job?
