Dropping a class senior year???? Is it okay??

I am currently a senior in my second semester of high school and I was wondering how much my admissions decisions would be affected if I dropped a class this semester. This semester I am taking Orch (H), Ap Physics B, Law and Justice (H), Health Science II (H) and English IV Honors (I am taking this class online). I wanted to drop AP Physics because I am currently taking 5 classes and have not taken honors physics and this class is quite fast paced, and I feel not having any background knowledge in physics may hurt my grade.

I have been accepted to a college and will call them to see if it dropping this class would affect my admission decision, but I also have been deferred from another college (an in-state public school, not an ivy league or anything) and will submit my first semester grades (In which I was taking Orch(H), Health Sci I, AP Bio and AP Stat) then find out my admission decision in March. I got good grades in my first semester classes, and I have to submit my grades mid-Feb.
If I drop this class, I will let the school know, but I want to try and figure out if it will significantly change my chances for admission.

Do you think if will be frowned upon if I drop AP Physics B this semester? I will still be taking four classes, because I am taking English online as a 5th class, so I was thinking it may not look so bad because I will still have a full schedule.

If it is any help, I intend to be a statistics major, and I think one of the reasons I got deferred from this school is because I was taking Stat first semester and they wanted to see my grades (this is probably not the only reason, but it is possibly one reason).

Sorry for the long post, but I'd appreciate any input!!

If you are looking for someone to tell you everything will be okay if you do this, you aren’t going to get that answer. The absolute best thing you can do is gut it out. Anything else is a crapshoot - might hurt you, might not, no one really knows. But I can’t see how dropping down to four classes, one of which is online, is going to make you look like a strong candidate to your deferred college.

If you get in, no problem either way, drop or no drop, you probably aren’t going to regret taking the class. If you do drop, and ultimately get denied, you’ll be wondering forever if you should have dropped, especially if you really want to go to that school. If you continue in the class and get denied, you’ll at least know you did everything you could. You’re THIS close, why take the chance?
