I didnt do so well on one of my midterms so i was thinking of just dropping the class. I know i can drop the class and get a w on my transcript and pay that $50 fee. The problem i think i have is i am only enrolled in 12 units this quarter. so if i drop that class i will only be at 8. i recieve financial aid. Would my financial aid be effected because i dont have the 12 units anymore? Any help would be appreciated also the sooner the better since the last day to drop is the 12th.
Thanks

I went to the financial aid office recently and the person there said it shouldn’t matter if you drop below unit min after 3rd week. You really should go there in person to be sure though.

I am in the same situation but i cannot drop my class because it is an impacted one. I should have changed to P/NP but i thought I was doing ok. I can just kick myself now!

^^ Was that a real counselor who told you that, or another student?

Either, I would always ask in person, maybe even get this in writing for something this sensitive.

@silvercross: If you were referring to my post I talked to a person working at the service counter in the office.

Thanks everyone for the help. I called and they said the exact same thing. After the 3rd week it doesnt really matter.

yea i dropped after week 4. perfectly fine
