Dropping a class VS a lower GPA

I currently have a C in my chemistry 300 class.

I was wondering if you think it’s smarter to drop it completely or continue to get a C in the class. If I drop it, I will have one less science credit.

For college acceptance, would it be better to have a better GPA or would it be better to have that science credit.

Also, do colleges look at dropped courses?

What grade are you in?
Are you working as hard as you could be in Chem? Have you talked to the teacher about what you could do differently? Did you get a tutor? Form a study group?

Are you in high school and taking a 300-level college class?

I am to assume that you are a high school student taking a Dual Enrollment 300-level chemistry class. Didn’t know that was possible but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe you just mean it’s your third year science course (junior year). Nevertheless, we need more info before giving our subjective opinions.
