I'm attending De Anza College (which is a quarter system). I heard that if you drop a class and take a "W", and take the same class next quarter, the "W" will be removed.

Is that true?

the w won’t be removed but it would stay on your record. If you took the class again, it will show both scores, but the higher grade will be inputed into your gpa

“I’ve had 2 or 3 people told me that due to the huge number of students at De Anza, it’s almost impossible to transfer out in 2 years. Now, my first thought is that these people are just lazy.”

Care to bet money on whether you make it out in 2 years and get into UCB or UCLA still? You do realize you are taking some of the easiest classes and teachers at De Anza yet still not doing well…but of course others are the lazy ones, right?

Thanks ■■■■■. I actually have 3 A’s, and one B (with a teacher that is rated 2.2 on RateMyProfessor). I don’t think I’m doing too bad ;)
