I am nearly failing one of my classes and I think I'm going to pull a C- in the end if i am lucky. I was seriously considering dropping this class for next semester. I just don't like it and the way the teacher teaches the class. I was going to take a college class to compensate for it during spring semester. By the way, i'm still in high school; im in this program called Running Start which allows students to take college classes at a local cc. What's your opinion on this? Would it look bad? I just think I can get a better grade if i switch to a different class.

Drop it. If you could pull it up to a B, it wouldn’t hurt you, but if you think a C- is the best you can do, there is nothing to be gained by adding it to your transcript.

Many colleges require you to notify them of any change to your senior schedule. Keep this in mind, although if you contact the schools and tell them you’re taking a college class instead it may be ok. I would really suggest contacting the places you’ve applied by email or phone to get their advice to make sure it won’t jeopardize your chances.
