Dropping a Class

Hi so I'm currently a Junior in high school right now and I am taking Honors - Physics. For my school this is early to be taking this class because it is usually taken in Senior year, but due to my math I can take it this year. After three weeks of the class I've been doing very poorly and I've been getting Cs on my tests and homework. Should I drop the class and take it next year? Will colleges think of my courses aren't rigorous enough? Will it lower my chances of getting into any good colleges?

I would drop it and take the course for your level. At my school Honors physics is required for Freshman year, but I decided to drop it because I was getting C’s in everything. Colleges look at your GPA, not the courses you take, so I would just take regular Physics, since your math is OK with it.

^^Colleges do in fact look at the courses you take.
I’d say it depends on the alternative class you would take, plus what the rest of your schedule looks like. If all your other classes are high level, then I’d say don’t worry about one class being “regular.”

Three weeks in, you say? Can you still drop the course without it showing up on your transcript that you dropped it?
