Dropping a class

<p>I am a college freshman with a 4.0 GPA right now. This semester I'm taking a general elective (required) class and getting a C right now. We have a test on Monday, which I don't think I can do very well on. However, I can drop this class with a W on my transcript...</p>

<p>Should I go ahead and do this, or does a W look really bad? I don't mind getting B or B- in a class, but C just seems really bad...</p>

<p>Is there a deadline after which you can no longer drop the class? If not, or if it's not for a while, I would study really hard and try to do well on the test. If you still don't you can consider dropping it.</p>
