Dropping a "planned class"

Im a high school senior planning on dropping AP Psychology B because in my school it counts as Sociology and I have passed sociology in a community college. And in my applications I put I was "planning" on taking it. Will dropping the second part of a class have some negative consequences?

I doubt it ... it's not as though colleges are going to be like, "ZOMG! HE/SHE LIED TO US!" if/when then find out.

also wondering the same thing, but I'm dropping a college class.

You should let the college know you're dropping it and let them know why.

if you passed the equivalent in a CC it shouldn't hurt you to drop it.

What are you replacing it with?

^^^^^^^^^^^
exactly...you are dropping what appears to be an ap-level course in your senior year - this does not look good, period. i can understand your reasoning, but i would strongly advise you to replace it with perhaps another semester-long ap course (government or econ?) or a community college class. keep up the rigor through your senior year...
