I turned in a form to my counselor so he could send the schools I listed a secondary school report and his recommendation letter. On Common App, the school report was sent in already and I'm pretty sure the recommendation letter was sent as well. Not really sure how it works. My question is, if he already turned in the school report and now I don't want to apply there anymore, will it look bad to not apply there anymore?

Just don’t finish the application. You shouldn’t apply there just because you feel compelled to. That’s a waste of time and money. They can’t force you to finish the application. Granted, you’ll probably get bombarded with tons of emails and phone calls “reminding” you to finish the application, but they can’t make you. I think it’s totally fine that you just changed your mind, even if you already sent in the school report.

Will it look bad? To who? Other schools won’t know that you dropped the school. And honestly, I don’t think it will look bad that you just changed your mind about applying.

Schools will be aware that you considered applying and will be tracking bits of your application, committing time and resources to that task. They may add you to their snail mail distribution list, also requiring school resources. The proper and polite thing to do is to contact the school as soon as possible to let them know you will not be completing your application.
