I already went to orientation and chose my schedule. They said that I would be able to change it any time at home so I dropped general chemistry in an attempt to switch to another one at a different time. However, it is saying the one I tried to join is restricted and the one I came from is also restricted. What should I do?

There are several types of restrictions when it comes to the registration system. What kind of restriction is it? It can’t be a prerequisite restriction because CHEM 1035 doesn’t have any prerequisites. If you are trying to add CHEM 1055 and you aren’t a Biochem/Chem major, there is a problem there. You could be exceeding 19 hours and it won’t let you add.

Post some more details about the problem, and I’ll try to help you out.

Is the drop/add class button gone for anyone else too?
Should i conctact the university?

It’s gone because orientation is over. You’ll be able to add when it opens up for the rest of us, on the 4th.

No, I was trying to get into the chem 1035 class and I was not exceeding my 19 hour limit. Is force adding or the wait list a potential option? Thank you.
