Dropping an AP class your senior year = Bad idea?

would it be a bad idea to drop an AP class for something much easier? i currently have a D in an AP class and while i might have a chance to get a C, i also dont want to risk it.

is this going affect my college chances in anyway?

i applied to the Univeristy of California schools if that matter.

bump bump bump

Can you talk to you your college counselor? I guess none of us know what to do about this.

It might be enough for your acceptance to be rescinded depending on if you're a borderline student or not. Your counselor may or may not be able to help you out, but you'll never know until you consult him/her.

what if the class was a music or art AP, would colleges really care if your not majoring in anything remotely close to music or art?

Our guidance counselor said that if my son dropped a class senior year, he had to contact all his colleges to let them know.

A Cornell EA accepted student asked them if he could drop an AP. They said absolutely not.

i didn't apply to any ivy leagues so that isnt a concern.

i don't have a college conselor but my class counselor told me it would look bad but she doesn't know if it would affect the college admissions. It's half way through the year and she says she'll give me until wednesday if i want to drop out or not.

i don't want to take the chance of me getting rescinded but i also dont want to take the chance of getting a D.
