Dropping an AP class?

This year I enrolled myself in AP chemistry (the hardest AP class offered at my school). I had enjoyed honor chemistry last year and thought it would be a wise investment to continue my studies. BUT i was horribly wrong. It's not that the class is horribly difficult (I have received a B the first marking period and probably a B for the semester), it is just that I do not like the course material.

Do you think it is wise to drop the class? Will this look horrible to colleges?

a B in any AP = A in regulars or A- in honors.

I think you should stay in it. It’s better than someone who took honors chem.

You enjoyed honors chem but don’t like the course material in AP Chem? If you can figure out why you liked one class but not the other, then you might be able to figure out whether or not the problem is fixable or whether you should drop. Are you using an AP study guide on the side? 5 Steps to a 5 provides good, concise summaries of the material, but last year’s book had a lot of errors in the sample tests.

No i am not using an AP study guide currently. Maybe I should invest in one.
