I suck at math. I'm in AP Stats and I hate every bit of it. It's also hurting my GPA. If I choose to go to MSU and let them know that I'm dropping the class, would they rescind my acceptance from either the university or the Honors College?

They won’t rescind your admission, but I honestly have no idea about the HC. fa-la might know, but to be completely certain I would call and ask.

Ok, sounds good. Thanks for all your help again, Romani!

neither the honors college nor MSU will rescind your acceptance if you drop an AP class. Just make sure to call admissions up/email them to let know what your class schedule is senior year if there are any updates (you don’t want them to check your transcript and wonder why the classes don’t match up with what you listed on your application)…otherwise you’ll be fine. The honors college won’t care…you are accepted for good if you received an invitation (entrance to the honors college is dependent on the grades you have at the time you apply…not senior grades). I’m fairly certain that the only time you’ll be dropped from the honors college is if you get your entire MSU acceptance rescinded.

I had a question I dropped AP spanish for the same reasons. I was taking Honors Spanish and AP spanish at the time. Will it affect my acceptance to James Madison? Should I call the admissions office or what to let them know about my schedule change?

nope, it won’t affect your admissions through james madison in any way. Just let the general admissions office know of any changes through email or calling.
