Hi everyone, I'm planning to drop one of my courses this semester (history). I will still be completing the 60 unit requirement for transfer students. I dont particularly need this class as I have taken a class that satisfies the history requirement for the UCs. will this affect my admission to the top UCs?

I don’t think it will affect your admissions in any way whatsoever (I’m assuming you’re not a history major and it’s not a pre-req).

However, regardless, if you did not already indicate the drop in your January update, you are expected to contact each individual admissions office of the UC campuses you applied to and let them know.

Well I’m not a History major. It’s not a prerequisite, not a class to fulfill something in IGETC, or not even a class to complete my 60 units.

I have been informed that I should tell the UCs individually and immediately…so what I’m really worried about is that they would be denying my application because of dropping this class.

and i still have a week to drop w/o getting a W.

if you don’t need it and it won’t jeopardize your transfer admissions, drop it before the W shows up. Also, what number do we use to contact UC’s about any course changes? Thanks

Here it is. [■■■■■■■■■■■■ - Community College Students: Application Process](http://■■■■■■■■■■■■/cc-app.htm#change-campus)

I would call or e-mail each campus you applied to plus the UC central application hub. Contact information can be found on the website we used to submit our applications.

i would email them that way you have proof that you contacted them.

Thanks!

She says to update Davis through myAdmissions, but I can’t find an appropriate place to do so. Their FAQ says to “Please be sure to submit your coursework changes to MyAdmissions using the Reporting Application and Coursework Changes link located in the Critical Information section.”

Anyone else having trouble?
