Dropping AP Class senior year

Hello guys I really need some advice, I’m considering dropping my AP Art class. I’ve taken the course sophomore year and loved it, and since it is a two year course I decided to test my skills in making a concentration senior year. But I’m now realizing that I put way too much on my plate for senior year. I’m not planning on majoring in anything art related so I’m simply just no longer interested in the class. Because I spent lots of time staying up till 5am completing art assignments my grades in other classes have dropped. For example, my AP Environmental grade was a 91 last quarter, and this is a subject I actually want to pursue in college. Also I was just recently accepted to join a nearby college’s Model UN team and take a government course there. If I look at this practically there is no way I will have enough time to put a useful amount of energy into each of these classes, But my guidance counselor is worried it will hurt me in admissions, What should I do?

If you are not majoring in Art in college, then contact colleges and let them know you will be dropping AP Art. I don’t think it will have much of an impact.

I agree, drop the class.

Okay, thank you so much for the advice
