Dropping AP exams

I am an international student from Norway, and wrote on my applications that I was self-studying AP Calc, Physics and Chemistry this year and would take the exams in May.

Now, it turns out that none of the regular Norwegian test centers will offer these exams, and I would have to stay in London for a week if I were to still take all three exams.

Do you think not taking these exams could jeopardize admission offers, and should I notify admission offices? I am still taking the classes at EPGY and studying independently, planning on taking placement exams in the Fall instead..

Thanks!

I would just email the schools - it’s not your fault that those tests are not in your country, and they can’t expect that you would travel internationally to take them.

Thanks! I think I’ll do that. But since I’ve already paid for the online courses, do you think they will prepare me equally as well for the placements exams administered by individual colleges?

^I would think so. AP courses are much more vigorous/in-depth than placement exams.

I second littledot’s thought.
