hey
so ive had school for 2 days now, and i have a full schedule so far, which means i have 5 aps, an art credit (which is mandatory, unfortunately), and journalism 2. however, im seriously contemplating dropping ap spanish.. it's not really that i think it's hard, but its more that i would like the studyhall and the teacher is really mean. the only problem is, it will show up as a withdrawal on my transcript. im planning on applying to a few med programs, so i figure i can explain in my interview (if they ask) how i have taken as much spanish as i wanted to take and i decided to drop it, but if i apply just to regular undergrad schools, will it look really bad to have a withdrawal on my transcript? also, it's not like this is a core class i would be dropping, and ive taken four years of spanish before this.. i just really want a break in the day instead of having a full schedule. any advice? thanks!

I would drop it. I liked Spanish a lot until I took it with a horrible teacher. She's turned me off to spanish forever.
But it shows up as a withdrawal after only 2 days?! Wow, my school screws up with schedules a lot, I suppose, so the first few weeks everyone is switching around.

a withdrawal already? we have an entire 9 weeks before anything shows up on our transcript for a full-year class. :) We switch like crazy around here I guess :p If your heart's not in it though, I think it's best you drop

haha thanks guys. yeah, i really dont know why its a withdrawal after two days, but i guess the administration just doesnt want us to drop or something. but, have a good year everyone!
