Dropping band?

Hi I'm a current sophomore. I'm currently debating to drop band. I do not plan to major in any music related subject. Right now, I have a 4.0 weighted gpa. Next year I want to take an engineering class, however I'm already at the maximum classes I can take. I've got to drop one of these: honors anatomy, ap psych, or band. I'm not sure what to do. If it matters I'm aiming for UCSD.

You’ve already fulfilled your Arts in the a-g requirements so drop away.

Agreed drop band. As long as you have other extra curricula you shouldn’t have to worry about that. I dropped band after junior year and did just fine

Thanks for the replies. However I feel like I want to continue band. If I had to drop HAP or AP Psych, which should I drop for Principles of Engineering?

Please don’t drop band!

I’m very involved in band and I’ve seen people leave band and regret it immensely. It only gets better as you go on, and the time commitment/honor ensembles, in my opinion, add much more diversity and quality to you application that another honors/AP class. I bet you’ve already accrued tons of rigor!

It depends how much you like band. I wasn’t overly thrilled with band so I dropped. If you love band don’t drop.
