Dropping Chem

If you drop chm2045 do you also have to drop the lab as well, if so does this count as 2 drops? how bad does a drop look on a transcript if it was freshman year and for courses such as mac2311 or chm2045?

i dropped calc too. you get to drops every 60 credits

yeah i think it counts as two drops

Are you talking about this semester (it's basically already over) or next? I sure do wish there will be a lot of drops in Chem 2046L- my son can't get in (all sections full) next semester. Looks like he'll be in G'ville this summer. :( Please, UF, fund the chem dept. and open up some more classes!

If you drop CHM2045 and the lab together at the same time, it only counts as one drop. If you drop them separately, they count as two. (e.g. you drop chem this week and choose to drop the lab next week)

I hate the drop policy. it has major flaws. I don't understand why it has to be "2" drops each 60 credits. The number of drops needs to be adjusted for the credits you would get for the class. I don't see why it can't be like 8 credits of drops for each 60 or something.

Haha. I wish I could drop Chem too, I already dropped Calc this semester. If you put both CHM2045 and CHM2045L on the same drop sheet, it only counts as one drop.

A friend's son had to drop CHM 2045 and L. Can he take courses at Santa Fe or a community college to replace this over the summer?
