Dropping Classes after Early Admission

How risky is it to drop one or two classes from my second semester schedule (classes that I listed on the Common App) after receiving early admission? Is there a procedure for notifying Harvard about senior year schedule changes?

I can't find anything on the Harvard website about rescinding admission.

Your SCEA acceptance is based upon the completion of your current course load while maintaining your present GPA. DO NOT drop a class (or two classes) without first speaking with your guidance counselor, who might have to call Harvard Admissions to get their prior approval. Now that you’ve been accepted, you don’t want to give them a reason to rescind.

gibby is right, it is advisable to contact the admissions office, and ask your counselor to help because they would probably be able to give you a solid answer

I’m in the same boat. My school is on semester classes, and I want to change one of the course of next semester. The class I’m switching into is actually a little harder than the one I’m suppose to take. Calling them is probably the best way to let them know. I couldn’t find a way to contact them about it on their website.

I don’t think that the admissions office is open until next week. I’d try calling them then. I’m actually going to be in Boston around them, so I might stop by in person to ask them.
