Dropping Cluster

i really ddont like my cluster is it smart to drop it at this time?

I think there's a fee. Which one are you dropping?

before you drop a class, be sure you have enough units left to be considered a full-time student. Many frosh only take 12 units to start, and if you drop 1 class you run into all kinds of issues (not being eligible to live in the dorms, for one).

If you have financial aid, they stopped checking last Friday. I talked to someone from FAO today about this. If you're paranoid, run to Murphy Hall and talk to someone.

As for living in the dorms, talk to your Resident Director. I've been told they're pretty lax about this issue as long as you explain the circumstances. Before you do anything else, talk to your RD just in case.

As for dropping below ECP, the worst situation (well, besides not being on the road to graduating in a "timely manner") is your having to meet up with an undergraduate counselor to discuss how you'll catch up on units. If you know you'll be able to and you know the consequences of not catching-up, you should be OK.

Most importantly, talk to your RD! The end of 4th week is the last time to drop a course without notation. It's a $5 fee also. So, hurry up!

if you really hate it, drop it. i wish i dropped mine. i ended up doing poorly every quarter.

I DROPPED HMT IN WEEK 2 :D happiest day of my life (since moving in)!

I love my schedule now.
