I'm in AP Calc right now and it's killing me! I have C in it, and I know that if I don't understand anything now, I won't understand anything next semester. I really really really want to drop this class. Do colleges look down on dropping classes, especially classes like AP Calculus?

Yes, they prefer that you don’t drop a class. And also, many colleges would like to see 4 years of math. So would you take a different math class? You would also need to consider how colleges would see your dropped class. Will it show up on your transcript as a dropped class? At my high school, after the first two weeks of school, any dropped classes would show up on your transcript as dropped. That wouldn’t look too good. But I guess you’ll have to decide which would be worse: getting a C or dropping the class. Also depends on which colleges you’ve applied to as well (I assume you’re a senior).
