dropping out of college

actually college confidential.

Younger D made her decision and is submitting her SIR this week. Came back to CC last year after a 7 year gap. Thankful for all the information provided by a number of you, which helped me guide both my kids through this laborious and many times difficult process. Funnily enough, the most difficult decision for my younger D was picking the school to attend from her final two choices.

Will be referring friends and their kids in the upcoming years.

Thanks once again & Good luck to all of you.

How did she pick between the final two choices? What was the deciding factor?

What a nice post!

I’ve thought of doing the same thing, son is about to graduate, I spend too much time here even now. CC is addictive for some of us.

Go over to the Parents Cafe! Some fun threads over there. Or consider paying it forward with the knowledge you have gained here.

thumper1, I see by the number of your posts that you too have been here a long time. Thanks for the advice

Yep. My last college kiddo was a 2010 graduate who is now getting ready for grad school after doing a stint in the Peace Corps. Time flies!

thumper is number 1 on cc ^^

Seconding the suggestion to stick around. Now is when the fun begins. and the Café is priceless.

I agree with sticking around and paying it forward!

I discovered CC when S1 (2013 college grad) was just in high school and I really valued the advice and information from the “older”, more experienced parents. Funny how I now fit that description

I joined CC in 2005 when S1 was a h.s. senior. He graduated in 2009. S2 graduated from college in 2012. I just can’t seem to shake the CC addiction!

Likewise. I give info on son’s/my alma mater’s forum mainly. And I have fun with the Parent Café. You have a lot to offer.

Howcum the site added the accent over café?? I didn’t choose to despite my HS French! Also- tons of views because the heading omits the presumed last word- Confidential- and many, like me, expected this to be about literally dropping out of college.

Wis–I think that’s just plain autocorrect–as the word is offici-o-lly spelled that way.

I agree with others who say stick around! You never know what new questions or hurdles may pop up even after your daughter is happily settled into college.

I was very grateful for the comments and support I received when my son was diagnosed with mono over spring break. (And happily he has maintained good grades in all 19 units he was taking this semester!)

You’ll be back! :-)
