if you're accepted into a program like huntsman and halfway through your freshman year, you decide you really don't like the climate/curriculum/students/whatever in huntsman, can you drop it and pursue a single degree in one of the schools (wharton/cas)?

i don't anticipate this ever happening, but i am curious what the answer is, just in case

honestly the only reasons anyone ever drops out of the dual/joint programs are:
1) They get lazy and decide the Wharton degree alone is worth enough to them
2) They get sick of the Wharton culture / pre-professional atmosphere
3) They leave Penn altogether.
4) They have some weird circumstance that requires "early" graduation.

I'd say that you can count on one hand (in each graduating class ) the number of people across all three programs who leave a joint program (for whatever reason).

I know of one who dropped M&T for engineering because they didn't just click at all with Wharton (another kept announcing that he'd drop M&T for Engineering initially, but I think it was to just garner attention, as it was obvious that this wasn't going to happen). I know of a few others who've dropped Huntsman because they didn't feel it was the right mix. Other than that, most joint-degree students choose to stick with things. But the option's definitely there.
