Dropping physics

I really want to drop regular physics, because I don’t like the subject, don’t find it interesting, don’t like the teacher, and it’s really not helping my gpa. I already got into Brown, and I wouldn’t want to get rescinded based on this. I am taking another science course though (AP bio) and am doing well. I have one more day to decide if I want to drop. Any opinions?

Call your admissions officer at Brown and ask him/her.

And congrats on your acceptance!

Ok, first of all you got into Brown already, which is good, so you don't have to concern yourself with grades as much. Now, physics is the most important class that is offered in high school. It makes you a problem solver and a logical thinker, and it is more of a "science" per se than Biology. I took Honors physics last year and AP Bio this year, regretting that I didn't take AP physics.

tell me what you find out!
I'm the reverse... really want to drop AP Bio for same reasons - hate the subject and the teacher, and the first period middle of front row doesn't help either.

Usually you have to get an approval from the admissions office if you want to drop any classes.
