I was accepted into UNC back in January, and I am thinking about dropping one of my second semester classes. I am in kind of an unique situation in that I am taking 45 hours of college-credit courses in high school. However, the workload this semester has been particularly grueling, as I have 6 classes(all honors credit or above) this semester and no one else at my school has more than 4. I am have particular difficulty in my online chemistry class because I basically cant learn the new concepts without a teacher there. I would have to take the class again at UNC, so the credits are basically worthless. Also, I was enrolled to the class two weeks late because of a registration error. Do you forsee huge problems (me not being admitted) if I notify the admissions office ahead of time and list these reasons why I decided to drop?

I absolutely cannot see that being a problem. You’ll still have a full workload. I have no experience with UNC admissions issues, but it doesn’t make any sense that they would give you trouble for that.
