Dropping Spanish?

What does dropping Spanish effect?

Well, sorry if this is a very weird or unhelpful answer, but it really depends. For example, if you have already done four years of it and had good grades in each level, then it probably would not have a big effect. If you have only done it for a year or two, then the effect would be different. I would check your county requirements but every county has separate diploma requirement. In my county, anyone wanting an advanced studies diploma must take at least 3 years of any world language or 2 years of 2 two languages. To sum it all up, it really depends on the situation. Sorry.

Have a good day and good luck!

If you need to ask me any questions through this or DM, please do so! Explaining the situation you are in will also probably change my answer.

Not weird or unhelpful at all!!! Perfect answer! I appreciate your time, sincerity, and thought! @anthonytheboy

Additionally, it depends upon the tier of colleges you are targeting. Top colleges expect 3-4 years.

I really am aiming for these schools: Dartmouth, Cornell, Northwestern, John Hopkins, Bowdoin, Connecticut College, Wesleyan, and University of Maryland, College Park @skieurope so I think I’ll do it for three-four years

Things to consider:

**Have you gotten to Spanish 4? (no matter how many years of spanish you have taken in HS. It is the level, not the years that count to college) If yes, you are golden as far as college goes.

**What does your college of interest require/recommmend? You need to look that up yourself.

**What does your state/HS require for foriegn languages?

**What are you going to major in? If languages, dont’ drop.
