Hi,

I've decided to drop my stats class because I've always had trouble in math and sadly stats is no exception and instead take terminal mathematics in the winter because it's easier and it will transfer. What I want to know is if this will significantly harm my chances of being accepted into UCLA, my first choice among UCs.

Some facts about myself and the major at UCLA which I plan to enter:

My GPA is 3.85(It'll probably decline a little after this semester to about 3.8 or so).

My major is philosophy.

I'm a member of my school's TAP program.

I go to Santa Monica College of all places. :P

UCLA's philosophy program is not impacted.

Average admitted GPA for that major is 3.56 as of fall 2012(Surprisingly low for UCLA, lol).

I've heard UCLA rejects pretty much all applicants who haven't satisfied their math requirement by Fall. Is this true? Am I screwed? Or do I still have a chance if I pass terminal math in the winter session? :P

Thanks in advance. :)
