I had my first day of class for session D and I am pretty sure I want to drop. Deadline to withdraw/drop for a refund is July 10.

I was browsing the summer session website and learned this:
"Withdrawal means you are dropping all classes in all sessions after your earliest session begins. If you wish to drop some but not all of your classes, see the section on Dropping Classes."

I'm only signed up for one class...am I dropping or withdrawing? Because withdrawal requires that I fill out/sign a Student Record Change Form and would result in a W on my transcript, which does not affect my GPA but indicates that I "Withdrew via petition, Summer, 2009." Does that "look bad"? I feel like it shouldn't, but who knows.

However, if I'm only "dropping" a class I can do it on Telebears.

I also read that "Dropping all classes in all sessions is considered either a cancellation or a withdrawal, depending on your timing." Which leads me to believe that I'm withdrawing, because the deadline for cancellation has passed.

I'm just really, really confused. All I want to do is drop the one class that I'm signed up for, and get a refund. Help?
