Dropping with a W

Hey guys,
I wanted to know how bad it would look if I dropped a class with a W. I'm taking this elective class (not for my major, minor, of a GE) this quarter and we finally got our one and only midterm back and I bombed it. I was wondering how bad it would look for grad schools if I had a W on my transcript. Btw I'm a 2nd year- junior status and I've never dropped a class (even w/o a double) before :/

Thanks in advanced

oh and im not pre-med/pharm/law

One more thing: I don’t know if this goes with out saying but I am currently taking it for a grade

It’s not exactly applauded but it’s got to look better than getting a really bad grade.

I’d say to do it. Ws can be for all sorts of reasons, some good, some bad, but if you’re able to get an A the next time around then grad schools won’t even care. It’s only when people are habitually taking Ws that red flags go up.

it’ll save your gpa, that’s a fact. i rather have that W than a C or anything lower.
