I'm taking 5 courses, total of 20 credits right now, which is actually an overload at my school as the normal load is 16 credits.... I'm thinking of dropping my drawing class because it's so time consuming, especially the homework. That class was just an extra.

I was wondering I should drop it now before the mid-term report or hang on and see how it goes and if I still can't handle it after the mid-terms, then can I drop it without hurting my chances? They'd see my drawing class on the report but not on the final transcript if I get in....

I have taken about 18-19 units on average...it is hell...but depending on the classes it can be feasible. Only you know what you are capable of.

If you don't need the class right now, and if there is any chance it can negatively impact your GPA...then drop it before it leaves a mark.

Dropping the class will allow you more time to "enjoy" your other classes and in turn, do better.

Hmm, UC don't let u go over 70 units, what's the point of taking extra classes? I try not to go over that mark, yet i will.

Students with credit from four-year institutions may not exceed 90 transferable semester units prior to enrollment.

thanks guys. I'm going to speak with my art prof and see about it. It's just that I realized that I have too many important assignments that are due the following day and this class is at night (and third class of the day). Either I'll drop or take it S/U (and not do homework if I can...).

Oh- about credits. By the end of this semester, I will have 53 credits, but not ALL will transfer because one of them is my first year seminar. Yikes, I'm a first semester sophomore!

You are looking at semester units...I am talking quarter. The max acceptable for quarter is 105. But you still get credit for the classes beyond 105, just not the units towards graduation.
