Can anyone recommend any drug (legal drug) - something that can be ordered online or bought at CVS - that immediately helps to concentrate when studying or reading something?

nothing... dont take over the counter drugs to study... u rele shouldnt need any. unless u have ADD. study with headphones on in a locked room with NO noise and tell any1 who mite bother u... NOT TO. thats all

meditate.
Take time off each day (about half an hour) to just sit and clear your head of any and all thoughts. You'll get better with more practice.

adderall works wonders- but it isnt over the counter

I heard ADD medication works the best, but it has to be perscribed.

Yes, I've herd that Adderall is the ultimate drug of Ivy League students.

Is there a legitimate way for getting this drug if one doesn't have a doc at the moment?

You guys are disgusting...

See this is one of the many reasons why the SAT should be thrown out. You people are willing to take drugs for conditions you don't even have to do well on it. Wow...

weed.

jk :)

I didn't even think about drugs before the SAT... maybe I should try it...
lol

no u shudnt try it... see wat u got kids doin now... if u need drugs to do well on this test.... sux for u... u cant take drugs while ur stating a case in trial or opening up some guys chest...

You guys are over reacting... it just a drug to help you concentrate.... completly harmless ....i think advil might be worse for your body...its not like were shooting up on herion before the test

I've actually read yesterday about its negative side effects, and they're very similar to the ones of caffeine, which is consumed by the majority of college students, especially in the top-25 schools, because they have to study unhuman amounts of material.

you obviously won't need Adderall to state a case trial or disect something because those are not high pressure activities and they are not rigorously timed to the extent of the SAT.

Does anyone know of any "drug" that has the same positive effects as Adderall, but does not have to be prescribed by a doctor? Something that's available to the public at CVS.

I'm gonna talk to the pharmacy people, but just wondering if anyone knows of any similar drug.

If defending someone during a case or performing open heart surgery to a patient, are not "high pressure activities", then I don't know what is..

first of all, you altered the names of the two activities so they sound more pressure-intensive. secondly, the point was that you don't need to take a drug like Adderall for those activities, because such drugs are mostly utilized for reading comprehension-enhancing purposes.

you guys need some anti-depressants

ADHD drugs DON'T work if you don't have ADHD, period. Anyone who says they worked for them even though they don't have ADHD is either blowing smoke or actually has ADHD and doesn't know it. I have two family members with full-blown ADHD and they've been on a variety of meds while the docs figured out the right med and dose, and it really is not something to play with.

If you want to concentrate better, there is actually something really simple that you can do: eat better. Seriously. Cut out the processed foods (esp junk food and frozen dinners), and your head will clear up. Totally worked for me when I just couldn't concentrate at all. Avoid too many carbs, too, esp. on test day. Makes your head fuzzy. Go with brain foods - protein, bananas, apples, a granola bar for some complex carb support, etc.

haha... that's great.

for SAT I, I took a bag w/ about 10-20 granola bars and a bottle of Mountain Dew in it.... every break, I'd go into the hall and munch down the entire break....... it's the only way I could keep from falling asleep during the test. I left the center that day w/ 5 bars left........ :X

for SAT IIs, I took 3 bars..... ate 1 after chem, and the other 2 after physics so I could concentrate on US History...... didn't have a drink though :X forgot it at home.... hope that doesn't hurt me.

granola bars = domination for eating during breaks.
