*Drumroll, please* January SAT I results!

seriously though, try common sense. most of the people applying with 1550's+ are in the 95%ile+.

Well I met my goal of a 650 in verbal....I got a 660...lol....and in math I feel short of my 700 goal...I got a 660...how wierd....so instead of a 1350 I got a 1320. I'm still happy though...pretty good for an african american male first timer.

wow, so excited about this!
I got a 1570, 790 math and 780 verbal!

I got a 1450 ( i swear, it was a fluke!) on the december one so its a 120 pt improvement.

What a great end the old SATs...!

Jan SAT: 790 Math 680 Verbal Total: 1470
Oct SAT: 700 Math 740 Verbal Total: 1440

should i rush my Jan SAT scores to some of the top schools im applying to like hopkins, MIT, cornell? I am applying as an engineering major so im guessing a 790 math will help a ton. plus my composite is a sweet 1530 =)

710 verbal, 660 math

o well

guess im not as smart as i thought i was :-

YES!! YES!!!

1530 is an awesome score, and MIT will indeed love that 790 in math

I just checked your resume in another thread and I am surprised too at how much we are alike. Judging from your research institution I'd say we live not too far apart either. I think I am a year younger in the high school hierarchy, though. I am conducting research at Columbia U MC and hopefully will make Intel semifinalist next year. I assume that you are just like me in math...consistently 800 in practice tests, I imagine? That's why the 780 is so painful...

800M, 750V.

Ahhh... this is awesome! :D
No complaints here, unlike some of the other 1500+ people on this board.

hmm this is odd. okay when i go to collegeboard.com i click on the Get & Send scores link near the top. Then i click on the SAT Status link, put in my username/password, and view my jan SAT score. Then i click on the Go to My Organizer link on the right side. I then click the Send Scores link near the top and it says "Sorry, this page is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

the link i get this message is: https://nsat.collegeboard.com/satweb/viewMySatAction.do

But if I go to the Registrations completed link on the My Organizer page and click on January 22, 2005 SAT it bring me to the page where it lists all your scores (SAT I and SAT II). Then if i click on Send Available Scores it lets me go through the process picking schools to send scores to and payment info. No error message.

So if I click Send available scores from the SAT Registration page will it send my Jan SAT scores or not? I don't want to pay the money for nothing. I'm guessing there is a reason that they put up an error message on that link to send january sat scores. help plz?

me angry :( hope for 1500. make 1450. bang head on wall. same as PSAT score. grrr.
psat: 760v 690m sat: 780v 670m
Better than 1200 sophomore psat, at least.
die, self, die.

1450 still damn good.

I just realized, if I had gotten 800M/750V, I would not be angry at all. I know that if I get an answer wrong on the verbal section, I deserved it, and there probably wasn't much hope for perfection then. Unfortunately for me, I got two questions wrong on the math section. For that, I shall forever hate my stupidity.

I got a 650 M and 650V (1300). I was disappointed when I first saw my score because I was hoping to get above a 1350. I was getting like 680+M and 700+V on the practice tests so I thought that I would do that well on the actual test but when I got to the test I developed a serious case of test anxiety. I couldn't even bubble in the right areas. So now that I look back on how crappy I felt that day, I am kinda proud of my score. People are way too smart on this board. I hope some more normal people post their scores on this board because it is kinda depressing to see all these high scorers. Some people might think that these 1400-1600 scores are what is expected from them from colleges so they get embarrassed for their own score. Don't worry everyone, I am sure that you guys all have other aspects of your application that will make up for a shortcoming on your SATs. And to all you really high scorers, I bet that a lot of you lack a lot of aspects on your application besides great test scores, so in the end the world balances itself because a lot of these good test takers will not get in to some schools and a lot of these mediocre test takers wil get in because they excel in other areas.

torrestowers...a 1300 is a solid score. Nationally speaking, you're in an elite group if you score that high.

I felt a lot of anxiety on testing day, especially on the math sections which are my weakness (I scored a 750 on verbal but only a 600 in math :( ) I was pretty disappointed by my score, given the amount of personal effort I put forth in prepping for it (no tutor, no prep course). In the 10 Real SAT's books, I even scored as high as 1480 on the May '97 test.

There are "normal people" hidden in every nook and cranny of this messageboard. You just have to look closely! :D

i got a 1420 and am soooo excited! 660 Verbal and 760 Math (1450 Composite) woohoo! and quit complaining you 1580ers

1590! 790M + 800V............I guessed I made a careless mistake

But anyway, I am so HAPPY with my grade (an 60 points improvment from October)

I have a feeling that those who got 790/780 on the Math on January 22nd Native American Novelist version may have been wronged by the same question...just a hunch, but it seems to make sense for me...

i got a 790 on math on january 22 SAT. which question wronged me? the only one i didnt know was the one asking for the number that has only prime factors or somethin. answers were in the 900s.

OMFG OMFG!!! I broke 1300... I went up 150 points in one month... *** wow.... :)
I'm jumping for you hahahahahhahahahahaha!!!!!

Thank you testmasters vocab for helping me with Verbal.

Lets go through my poor SAT history to my accomplishment!!!

7th grade Duke TIP: 1050 (560 M, 490 V)
8th grade Duke TIP: 1090 (630 M, 460 V)
9th grade PSAT: 164 (64 M, 50 V, 50 W)
9th grade SAT: 1220 (660 M, 560 V)
10th grade PSAT: 169 (63 M, 49 V, 57 W)
10th grade December SAT: 1200 (670 M, 530 V)

I'm so happy!!!
Hopefully with this SAT I can get into NCSSM next year.

And my 7th grade sister got a 1070 (520 M, 550 V)

Wow, sounds like you had a REALLY good test day michael_pham...congrats!

Puddingirl - the 900 problem was on the experimental section so it wasn't what got you.
