DSP vs. AKPsi?

I still can't decide which frat is better in terms of networking and overall prestige...

AKPsi is strictly for Stern students whereas DSP is for all "business-oriented" majors (ex CAS Econ, Hotel management etc.)

In terms of placement they both seem to be alright....

I've asked this around else where and the general consensus seems to be that there is no "overall" better frat - it all depends on the school.

For example, at UC Berkeley, DSP is the strongest frat there hands down, where as in other schools, AKPsi trumps DSP.

Hence my question to you upperclassmen (and Sternies): Which frat is more dominant/stronger at NYU?

Are you seriously asking NYU kids about frats?

@ AudreyH This is a little bit different from asking just about NYU Frats in general. These are business frats so they are a lot more active and prevalent than your typical frats. They are more like networking groups than I would say an actual “frat.”

Both of them are pretty competitive at NYU, neither of them are clearly dominant over the other. Both bring in speakers and hold networking events, so it just depends on which group you like more upon meeting them.

bump (10char)

All of that is a joke, at least in my opinion. I’ve actually heard them referred to negatively by recruiters from bulge bracket firms.

AKPsi is generally a lot stronger on the East Coast. On the west cost, DSP is known as the stronger frat although there are definitely schools where AKPsi is clearly more legit.

If you’re looking at your future career though, AKPsi has a larger worldwide network because DSP is only in the US while AKPsi is worldwide. I’ve had friends meet their AKPsi brothers in Shanghai and in Los Angeles (at UCLA and Pepperdine)
