Dual Citizenship for UC schools

As the title states, my question regards the situation of having dual citizenship for UC schools. I am Korean and US citizen. I have lived in Hong Kong (not Korea) my entire life besides the three years of high school in Connecticut. I do not meet the credit requirements for UC schools if i were to apply as a US citizen.

However, If i applied as a Korean citizen, would that exempt me from that 2 credit requirement of language if I were to apply?

Thanks in advance,

If you have U.S. citizenship you can’t apply as a Korean, you have to apply as a U.S. citizen. For anyone who has U.S. citizen they consider that the primary citizenship, no matter where you’ve been living, and other citizenships you have are irrelevant for admissions purposes. (I am a dual national who attended Berkeley for awhile.)

Thanks for the quick reply,

JC here i come! :(
