Dual Credit courses

Would it look good if you took dual credit courses over the summer at a university that offers it. (University of Texas Arlington Honors College?)

What are you talking about? Dual credit? Are you a Penn student? What department?

no high school...like dual credit at a university over the summer for expirence

I am still not quite sure what you are speaking about other than taking a college course, for credit and hoping to be accepted to Penn and to have the credit transfer......is that it? Don't take Econ.

like..If I take a credit course at a university to get a high school and college credit. Would doing that make me a better applicant for admissions or should I just stick with the high schools courses?

OK dual as in college credit and your high school gives you credit. If you can do this I personally think it is a good thing. Early college experience is good if you are ready for it. Don't spend your summer doing this just to impress......lots of opportunity is around during the summer and you might know of or find something better.

well. I am in the IB program and just wanted to know..I applied to the LBW program but if I dont get admitted, I want to do something over the summer. like dual credit courses.

Pick a place where you can have fun too...........

I know I will have fun at LBW but I and nervious about getting in..care to read my essay?

I am getting ready to sign off but you could send it and I will respond later.....gonna go tie on the feedbag.

Penn may "like" the fact that you have challenged yourself enough to take college level courses but if you are getting credit for high school in any way, then Penn will not give you credit. (Some universities will let you, but it is Penn's policy not to.)
