Dual credit

Does anyone know if USC takes dual credit courses? For those who do not know what dual credit courses are, they are classes that I can take in high school that can be credited to both my high school and my local community college. I get credit in both. I asked USC and they gave me two different answers. One said yes and the other said no. It would help to know since I am a spring admit and it could help take out some GE classes

I’m not sure if this completely answers your question, but here goes:

According to their website,
“Students may not receive credit for both an AP exam and a college course taken before high school graduation covering the same subject matter, nor for an AP and an IB exam covering the same subject matter.”
[USC ARR : Articulation : Advanced Placement Exams](http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/apexams.html)

It sounds like you are able to receive credit for “a college course taken before high school graduation” (It just can’t be combined with an AP course to receive 4 more units) although I think the maximum number of units an incoming freshman can accumulate before actually starting is 32.

It is not really what I am looking for but thanks anyway. The 32 credit hours is a good thing to know. I have 23 as of now

Send an official, sealed copy of your community college transcript to USC. They will do a transfer credit report which will appear on your Oasis https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx</a> and show how your Community College courses and AP courses (after you send official test results) have been applied.

im pretty sure that i read it can’t count for both but who knows…it might

actually, i totally just found YOUR ANSWER!!!

try this https://camel.usc.edu/articagrmt/artic.aspx</a></p>

if it doesnt work, type in usc articulation agreement on google and u find ur college, and then go off of that!
