Hi there!
I was wondering if it possible to do a dual-degree program with an LSA major and the Ross BBA as well as a minor in LSA? For example I am interested in doing a Political Science and BBA dual program as well as a minor in drama.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Yes, you absolutely can do that!
Doing a dual degree is possible, but you’ll have to just account for the combined course load of the seperate degrees. It may mean you have to take near 18 credits per semester and more than 4 years. You’d have to check with the specific majors if there’s any sort of overlap and Ross advisors can help sort that out.
It is possible, but factors such as work/life balance and graduation date must be factored in. Are you willing to sacrifice down time and social time and graduate in 5 years?
@WFBrown… It’s funny. I know I was snide on another post of yours since it just seems like a lot of work. Then my engineering son met with his counselor this week and she told him that he is on track to graduate in 3.5 years with a minor in business and major engineering. So now the discussions is… Does he do a study abroad, internship, do a second minor like in cs. Or do a double major with a minor. He has been taking 18 credits and working and doesn’t find it that hard to do…
@Knowsstuff Oh I totally get that it seems insane but I am comfortable graduating in 5 years if that is what it takes to accomplish all of the stuff I want to do. Thanks for the responses!
@WFBrown if you and your parents can afford it I am sure Michigan would love to take your money! Talk to the counselors and I am positive they will help shape and give you possibilities that you might not even be thinking of. Nice to have an open mind. You only do undergrad once, might as well make the most of it. Good luck!

Go for it. The only thing better than spending four awesome undergraduate years at Michigan is spending 5 awesome undergraduate years at Michigan.
