Dual Degree Decisions

Hey guys, we're starting to get reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly close to our judgment day. I just had a quick question regarding decisions for dual degree applicants. Since the dual degree program processes our app before the individual school even looks at it, do we find out earlier for our dual degree program? or do we just find out about the dual degree program when we check our admissions decision?

You’ll find out on the day the rest of the early decision results come out. I also applied to a dual degree program (Vagelos LSM) and I am really anxious about finding out how I did. Good luck to everybody! …but of course more luck to me ;)

Anybody else here apply to Vagelos LSM?

Yeah, I think we find out the same time as all the other ED applicants. I’m applying to Jerome Fisher M&T

Is being deferred from a dual degree program even a possible outcome? or is it straight rejection only and deference to RD second-choice single degree?

I think you can be deferred from a dual degree, because I’m pretty sure there’s an option to NOT select a single degree. Perhaps someone only wants to go to Penn because of M&T, and could care less about Wharton/SEAS by themselves.

You can also be denied from a dual degree program in ED and then tried for a single degree in ED, which is very nice.
