Dual Degree Deferral + Single Choice

Hello!
I had a quick question regarding the admission procedures for M & T as my first choice and Wharton as my second.
Given M & T only accepts around fifty students, I applied to my second choice Wharton with the ED agreement as well.

On the M & T website it says
"This single degree choice will only be considered after all opportunities for placement in the M&T Program have been exhausted."
So if I am deferred from M & T am I still considered ED for Wharton, or is that only if I am rejected?

I would seriously hate to be deferred from M & T and not be considered Wharton ED.

You will be still considered for your second choice.

If you say “YES” to the question:
“If we are unable to admit you as an Early Decision candidate to your program of choice, please indicate whether you would like to be considered under the binding Early Decision agreement for your secondary school/program choice.”

You will be considered for wharton ED.
