Dual degree, Dual Major or a Minor with Wharton

hi, i got admitted for SEAS and I'm curious about the chances of getting into Wharton for a dual degree or a minor in finance. btw, is there such a thing as dual major in UPenn? thanks in advance !

dual major with wharton and SEAS - not possible..
dual degree is possible. but you need a 3.7+ gpa for that as it is very competitive..i believe its not easy to get a dual degree with wharton..
wharton does not offer any minors to SEAS students..
you can do economics tho..with college of arts and sciences..you need a 3.0 or 3.1 gpa to do a dual degree with CAS..that isnt too tough too achieve..

You would be best off transferring to Wharton and minoring in engineering (which you can do unless you want to do BME). You can take a bunch of finance courses at Wharton, but you won't get any recognition aside from the classes on your transcript.

The sole minor offered by Wharton (to students of any school) is a minor in Statistics, which is a Wharton department. The statistics minor is a new program started only this year. No other Wharton department offers formal minors, but you can take almost any Wharton class you want.

thanks for the information! would it be easier to transfer to wharton or getting a dual degree with wharton ? I iniatially applied for the M and T program but was only offered T.

Equally easy/hard. The applicants are put in the same pool. There is no disadvantage to choosing transfer over dual or vice versa
