Does anyone know how these are evaluated in the admission process?

I'm wondering if anyone knows whether you first have to be admitted to Penn before they even start looking at the essays for the Dual Degree (Huntsman, M&T, LSM) programs. Or, are the Dual Degree Essays looked at during the normal admissions process as well?

No they’re looked at during the regular process, together with all your other essays

Thank you for your response.

I’m not trying to doubt you but where did you hear of this? Or is it just “common knowledge”?

I don’t know if I am just repeating astonmartin, but what I know is that your application is evaluated by some people from the program, separately from the other applicants. I do not know what happens if you are rejected, but I imagine that they pass it to the admission officer responsible for your geographical area. I may be wrong, though.
