Hi guys I'm a bit confused on the dual degrees Penn offers. The Jerome Fisher Program seems like something I would like in the future (Primary Engineering Major + Wharton Econ Dual degree).

Do I apply for this once I get accepted into Penn at the end of my freshman year like the website says? Or the CommonApp says I can apply there right now, along with some other people on CC saying their applying to the M&T program now. If anyone could clear that up, it would be great!

You should apply NOW as part of your application to Penn:

If you wait until the end of your freshman year (assuming that you are accepted to Penn), you will be applying for an internal transfer:

Ah yeah I highly doubt I’ll make it right now because of the major major competition for the few spots, but maybe after I’m in Penn, the transfer process seems easier. This is definitely something I want to touch on in my essay. Thanks 45 Percenter, this must be like the 3rd question in a row you answered for me!!

^ No problem! :)

And don’t forget that you can specify a single backup school on your application in case you aren’t accepted to M&T. In other words, applying to M&T now won’t hurt your chances of getting accepted to, e.g., SEAS alone.
